About the work

This track was produced while on a train journey to visit my grandad, who himself is in the music industry as a promoter, nightclub owner and has ran his own radio stations in the UK and abroad.

This track is a collaboration with the established artist, Mary Sweet, who sent me a message saying she wanted to work with me on a ‘Future Bass’ style track.

The next day I got onto the train for an important meeting with my grandad and a well-known record label A&R. I worked on the song during the train journey and managed to get a few good ideas down. I then sent the track to Mary, who then wrote some lyrics and recorded the vocals.

A few weeks later after finalising my track, I sent the track to Dean Jackson at BBC Introducing. He gave it huge support, giving it ‘Track of the week’ and playing it live on air every day of that week, which was a very proud moment for me!

Student Bio

I first got into music when I heard the track, ‘Gecko’, by Oliver Heldens. I was inspired by his unique sounds and production techniques. I was lucky enough to be chosen to study Music Production at secondary school which encouraged me to pursue my dreams and look into studying Music and Audio Production at Confetti.

While at Confetti I have been supported and encouraged by my tutors and challenged in many ways to do the best I can for myself and my music. We have been given numerous opportunities to help us strive, such as meeting well-known music industry professionals during Industry Week and lectures, visits to the BBC introducing event in London and getting our music noticed by well known people.
