About the work

The project I am submitting is the song I did for my unit 8 project. The criteria for this was to either come up with a new song inspired by a deceased artist or remix an already existing song but put a modern take on it. I decided to come up with a new song inspired by Kurt Cobain from the band Nirvana. When researching how Nirvana recorded their songs, I discovered old footage of the producer Butch Vig (he produced Nirvana’s Nevermind) and how he went around recording the band. I learnt that he recorded several guitars all doing the same thing to give it the style Nirvana became known for.  I decided to use this process to achieve the same grungy vibe.
