About the work

The corporate video was an assignment required us to create a short video from home because of lockdown. I decided to do a perfume ad, as I knew I wanted to play around with lighting and I had never really done anything like this before. So I used a lighting wand and I think the shots turned out well. It took me a while to find the perfect music because nothing was suiting my dark theme. So I got in touch with a friend Alessi Rose and used her song, Gamble. I enjoy being able to try new things in cinematography, so this was a lot of fun for me and I hope I can do more like this in the future. I love to be technical and creative with my photography as well and really think about composition, lighting and colours. This corporate video was so fun for me because I also used After Effects a lot during the edit which was great, as I don’t get to use it often so it meant a lot of my edit was mainly created through experimentation.

Student Bio

Confetti has been an amazing experience, minus all the lockdowns (obviously). I have grown massively and have had so many great opportunities to create and work with some amazing people. While I have been here I have been able to work on different projects like BBC Introducing and I have done photography at a BBC sport event and so much more. Confetti also allowed me to learn about courses like the BFI Film Academy and I was lucky enough to be a part of the most recent one at Broadway. Over the past year, Confetti has done weekly challenges, allowing me to stay creative and win a camera and multiple vouchers. I have also had the chance to listen and talk to many amazing people in the industry. My goal is to be a cinematographer, unit-still photographer and direct my own films about underrepresented people and stories.
