Student Bio
My name is Richard, but I go by Adam, and I’m an 18-year-old aspiring storyteller, with a desire to share my stories over a variety of genres and mediums. Because things like scriptwriting aren’t exactly something I can show in a showreel, above you’ll see my “attempts” at adapting stories to a visual format to varying results, as well as other class projects.
My goal is to start a company, not unlike Disney, Ghibli or Warner Bros, where I and other talented people can share their stories with the world through things such as movies, TV, games, comics and more. After college, I plan on building this dream into a reality over several years, along with publishing my own graphic novel to get my foot through the door officially.
Ultimately, I just want to use my life to help people through stories in the way people helped me. It’s often overlooked just how important popular characters or seemingly stupid little stories actually are to people outside of sales figures. These stories help mould people, how they act, how they feel. They can teach them new things or open up a new perspective, and I think that’s way too special to trivialise and convert into nothing but profit. The soul has been removed from a lot of modern stories, and I’m hoping with enough heart I and many others can maybe revive that.
