About the work
This is an illustration I made using Adobe Illustrator. I got the idea to make something inspired by Japan while watching The Karate Kid and came up with this. When starting this piece of work, I had a good picture of the kind of scene I wanted to create in my head, and the colours and contents planned out. I wanted to keep it black and white, with red being the only other colour because it fits with a lot of Japanese art and I really like the look of the black, white and red pieces I’ve seen.
Student Bio
I joined the graphic design course in September 2020 and have been able to develop and learn lots about graphic design, as well as having the opportunity to hear from designers and artists during Industry Week.
